During almost three decades of activity, Studio Berar has come a long way from providing tone services to becoming Serbia's premier professional audio, video, and lighting systems integrator company, successful in both sales and rentals.

After eight years of working as a sound engineer in Radio Novi Sad, Mr. Milan Berar started in 1983 his private business activity.

During the first ten years, the main activity was renting audio and lighting systems. We have always been at the forefront of technology and Studio Berar is amongst the first companies to bring new products to the market.

In the beginning of the 90's, we started sale and installation of professional public-address and lighting systems.

In 1992, due to personal business contacts Milan Berar had within top pro audio and lighting manufacturers, STUDIO BERAR becomes authorized distributor for companies such as JBL, SHURE, CROWN, ALLEN & HEATH, DBX, OTARI and many others. A few years later we started representing professional lighting companies VARI-LITE, COMPULITE, AVOLITES, SELECON and SGM. As distributor for the most prominent brands of professional, home, mobile, and multimedia audio/video and lighting products, Studio Berar experienced learning from the best. meanwhile we created a name that became synonym for quality. We are the first company to introduce surround system into movie theatres in Serbia. From 1996, following the trends in western European countries, we work with professional lighting of the next generation.

In 1997, we grew some more and became a LLC. The same year we constructed our own aluminum construction for lighting control and to cover the stages. 

In 2000 our company created two divisions - one for rentals and one for distribution and sales of professional audio, video, and lighting equipment, such as audio technology for commercial projects and architectural lighting.

In 2003, we moved into a new 1800 sqm office space consisting of offices, a studio, repair shop and warehouse. Also, audio and lighting equipment of the newest generation was purchased for our rentals service. A new system for hanging audio equipment is constructed according to the latest world standards.

About that same perid of time, Studio Berar welcomes to our offices The Academy of Arts, Department for New Media, and begins a new cooperation. Studio Berar enables the Academy students to develop their practical excercises skills using the most modern audio and video equipment, and expects to recruit young professionals to become part of our expert team. Also, this year we started using Wysiwyg specialized software for visual page design in project implementation.

In the next year, our distribution product portfolio includes new products such as hi-fi and car audio components, multimedia, and architectural lighting. We also grew our dealer network for retail sale of hi-fi, car audio, and multimedia in Serbia.

The last few years, Studio Berar partnered with Darklight Technology, manufacturer of reliable, top quality outdoor and indoor LED displays to become the European partner for distribution and sales. We began representing one of the most powerful and innovative mobile lighting manufacturers - Musco-light.
