World tambourine festival in its fifth anniversary edition was held from 15th to 17th of June 2012. at the Petrovaradin Fortress. Featuring local tambourine players and welcoming guests from the region as well as from the United States, Russia, Italy, Greece and Austria. Complete technical realization of the festival was carried out by Studio Berar team. A top musician from 14 countries was attended at this year's festival. The program lasted for each festival evening from 21.00 to 03.00 h. and was consisted of two parts; competition and revue. In the competition part is performed a total of 28 bands. Journalist jury as the best band pronounced Banja Luka tambourine band, while the Lola, Belgrade cultural center band won audience first prize. Special award for preserving traditional tambourine music goes to orchestra from Begeč, while the band Savski valovi from Croatia was awarded for artistic expression. The best vocalist of this year festival is Trajko Rakovski, a member of the orchestra Kratovčani from Macedonia, and the best contrabass performer title won Igor Cosic, a member of the Veseli tamburaši orchestra from Novi Sad. On the very first evening of the festival in the review part was performing Croatian singer Jelena Rozga with her band. The host of the second rewove evening was an unique Zvonko Bogdan, who just after entering the stage and welcoming all the visitors, sent sincere words of praise to Studio Berar team for superior quality of sound. Zeljko Joksimovic accompanied all the visitors deep into night on the third rewove evening with its songs. The festival was held under the auspices of the City of Novi Sad and the Government of AP Vojvodina, with media support by the three public services; RTS, RT Vojvodina and the Public Service of the Republic of Serbian.
